More competitive than you might think….
Let’s talk about a unique sport, one that wasn’t the most popular when you were younger. Golf has always been called a game of good etiquette and has been branded in being a rich man’s game. Well there are two things wrong with that last sentence. One, it is not just a man’s game, today there are women’s golf teams in high school and college all over the country. Second, sure the clubs and golf clothes can get expensive, but there are great deals out there everywhere, which include online, in stores, and many different magazines.
Growing up all you ever really heard about was the main competitive sports like football, basketball, and baseball. Golf can be one very competitive sport, especially when you are competing at the college level. The Ottawa University men’s golf team went through the worst conditions at their home tournament, where they hosted six other teams. But, despite all the rain and wind on the second day of the tournament the men’s team finished second as a team with a total of 636, only three strokes behind Baker University, who took the first place trophy home.
The women’s team has been having a rough time synchronizing their better scores together in the same tournament. There have been three girls battling with great individual scores at separate tournaments for the number one spot on the team. The lady braves golf team is entering their third season for Ottawa University and is continuing to build their program into one that will be respected by many people.
